So how did it go?

October 31st, 2011

We decided to create a mockup-deadline for halloween, and publish a holiday special of an upcoming game we are working on.
The game itself is not much more than an idea, and a prototype of some of the central features.

Try it here if you like.

We hooked it up with a simple facebook LIKE button, and added some metrics thru google analytics. The marketing we did was basically posting on a couple of relevant sites/forums that we found.

The response was not really overwhelming, I don´t think we hit more than a thousand players total, and having taken the bold step of stamping halloween all over the game, I think the window of opportunity is closed for this time. Getting people to find and get attracted to what you´re offering is a lot harder than we thought. One possible next step for this particular mini-game would be to publish it on Kongregate or some other more consumer-oriented games site.

Pumpkin Shooting!

October 18th, 2011

We have fiddled around with a fun SpudGun game, kind of like an Angry Birds in 3D but with “after-touch”.
Then we had the brilliant idea to try to get a public demo out so you can enjoy shooting skeletons and pumpkins for Halloween.

We are trying to document what the process a bit.

Here is a teaser:

EGGS Forum

October 10th, 2011

After the complete failure with our own hosting of a forum, which was hi-jacked by organ enhancing drug providers we have now turned to IndieDB to handle it for us. Indie DB is a good site for people who want to get up to date on the latest news from the Indie Games Dev Scene and is truly worth a daily visit!
